History of Blue Ridge Construction

Blue Ridge Construction, Inc. was founded in 1982 as a commercial construction-contracting firm. Based in Colorado Springs, Blue Ridge specializes in medium sized public works projects for city, county, and state governments. The company has developed concrete paving, concrete rehabilitation, excavation, pipe-laying/utility installation, bridges, structures, earthwork, proper execution and management as their areas of expertise.

In 1996, Blue Ridge Construction, Inc. doubled in sales as it took on a multi-million dollar municipal project at the Colorado Springs Airport. In 1998, Blue Ridge Construction was chosen by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the US. In 2001, Blue Ridge changed their management style and downsized the upper management.
